Alokasi bandwidth untuk USB4

Jan 24, 2022

Both USB4 and USB 3.2 are high-speed communications, the difference being that USB4 is designed to combine multiple protocols onto a single physical interface, allowing the overall speed and performance of the USB4 fabric to be dynamically shared. Note that USB 4 allocates a maximum bandwidth of 22Gbps for data transmission and a minimum bandwidth of 18G for display support. A display with a resolution of 5120x2880 (5k), a refresh rate of 60Hz, and a color depth of 30bit can be connected, and the remaining 18Gbps bandwidth is used for data transmission. Two videos with a resolution of 4096x2160 (4k), a refresh rate of 60Hz, and a color depth of 30bit can be connected, leaving 8Gbps of bandwidth for data transmission. For USB data transfer, USB4 allows parallel operation with other independent protocols dedicated to display (DisplayPort), load/store (PCIe). USB4 extends the bandwidth from USB 3.2's 20Gbps (Gen 2x2) to 40Gbps (Gen3 x 2). USB4 Gen 3 x 2 is full-duplex, two-lane transmission of data, each channel transmits and receives data simultaneously, and the maximum speed of sending or receiving data is 20Gbps.
